Marble salesman charged by Hong Kong’s corruption watchdog for defrauding customers of almost US$255,000




A former marble salesman has been charged by Hong Kong’s graft buster for cheating three customers out of almost HK$2 million (US$255,000) by inflating the prices quoted for purchase.Tam Hung-piu, 49, formerly of Free True Marble Limited, faces three counts of conspiracy to defraud, a spokesman for the Independent Commission Against Corruption said.Tam was a salesman for the marble trader, which supplies retailers and building contractors in mainland China, Hong Kong and elsewhere.The charges…
