Two crew members were seriously injured when fire broke out on a North Korea-registered cargo ship in Hong Kong waters on Tuesday.
The 77-metre-long ship was located south of Tsing Yi Island when it caught fire shortly after 9am. A fire-fighting ship was sent to tackle the blaze.
The fire was apparently caused by an explosion in the vessel’s engine room, the Marine Department said.
